FAQs
Registration
Do I need to register to take part in the Vedic Yagna?
Yes. Due to limited capacity, all participants must register on the myBAPS portal to take part in the Vedic Yagna.
Do I need to register for Paris Mandir Mahotsav to take part in the Vedic Yagna?
Yes. All yajmans must register for Paris Mandir Mahotsav first.
If you have not yet registered for Paris Mandir Mahotsav, please do so first. Please ensure that all your guests are also registered for the Mahotsav. This is Step 1.
- If your family member has a UK Satsangi ID, they can register themselves on myBAPS.
- If your family member does not have a UK Satsangi ID, they can register themselves after creating a myBAPS login ID, or they can be added as a guest under the primary yajman’s booking.
Only after completing Step 1 will you be able to register for the Vedic Yagna, which is Step 2.

Can I select a date and time to participate suitable for me?
Yes. You will be able to choose your preferred date and session when you register. However, spaces in each session are limited and allocated on a first‑come, first‑served basis, so early registration is highly recommended.
Who can participate?
This is a family event open to all ages. Everyone is welcome to participate in the Yagna.
Can wheelchair users also participate?
Yes. Wheelchair users will have access to participate in the Yagna.
Can children and elderly family members take part?
Yes. Children and elderly participants are welcome, provided they are registered.
- Children 5 years and over must be registered and accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Parents/guardians must supervise children throughout the ceremony.
- Elderly participants must also be registered. If a carer is required, both the individual and the carer must register.
Do I need to register my 4-year-old child?
No, children aged 4 years and younger at the time of the Yagna do not count towards the Yajman total; however, please include their numbers as part of the booking.
Anyone aged 5 years and above at the time of the Yagna will count towards the selected Yajman option limit.
How many participants can be registered in one booking?
The number of participants depends on your chosen yajman seva category.
Please refer to the seva table shown during the booking process and register the number of participants accordingly.
Can I change my session after registering?
This is a limited-capacity event, so session changes are not recommended. However, if a change is essential, we will try to accommodate your request, subject to availability.

Refund / Transfer of Tickets
I registered for the Yagna but can’t attend now. Can I get a refund?
Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Please book only if you are certain you will be attending Paris Mandir Mahotsav and are available to participate on your chosen date and session.
NOTE: If you cancel your Paris Mandir Mahotsav registration, your Vedic Yagna booking(s) will also be automatically cancelled.
On-the-Day Logistics
What is the dress code for the Vedic Yagna?
Traditional or modest attire is encouraged.
Where will the Yagna take place?
The yagna will take place in a designated area within the Paris Mandir Mahotsav festival grounds. Further details will be shared closer to the event.
What time do I need to arrive?
Please arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled session. Volunteers will check your registration details and seat you at your designated kund.
What if I arrive late?
Late arrivals are welcome, but we recommend arriving on time to ensure you do not miss key parts of the ceremony. If the session has already started, please enter quietly.
How long does the ceremony last?
The ceremony will last approximately two hours.
Do I need to bring anything for the ceremony?
No. All offerings (samagri) will be provided at the yagnashala.
Will sessions be conducted in English/French?
Sessions will be led with traditional Sanskrit mantras. Instructions will also be provided in Gujarati and English.
Rutviks (official yagna priests) and volunteers will be present at each kund to guide participants through every step of the ceremony.
Will photography be permitted?
Kindly refrain from taking photos yourself. Volunteers will be available to take photographs of you and your family on your phone. This will ensure you do not miss any part of the ceremony.
