Embedded in the Parisian suburb of Bussy-Saint-Georges, the Mandir will be the first traditionally designed, purpose-built Hindu temple in France. It will serve as a place of worship, learning and celebration, while being an iconic addition to the architectural beauty and multicultural landscape of Paris.
Dedicated to the reverence of Bhagwan Swaminarayan as well as Hindu deities from across India, the Mandir will be open to people of all faiths and backgrounds to experience first-hand the colourful traditions, joyous ceremonies and profound wisdom of the world’s oldest living religion.
This Mandir in Paris will be the fruition of over five decades of prayer and spiritual endeavour by the enlightened gurus of the BAPS Swaminarayan Hindu fellowship.
This month’s update highlights two significant visits to the Mandir project, as Jean-François Parigi, President of Seine-et-Marne, and Ambassador Vishal V. Sharma of UNESCO visited the site. Their presence reflects the growing recognition of the Mandir’s cultural and spiritual significance, both locally and internationally.
Alongside these visits, construction continues to progress steadily, with ongoing developments across the site as the project proceeds towards completion.
